[ltp] Problem with updatedb

I don't know anything about 'pan', but updatedb is the command which updates 
the slocate database. If you don't use the 'slocate' command then you really 
have no use for this database (though I suppose other software might use it 
as well). slocate IS a fairly useful command for system admin, but you may 
have no real use for it on a personal laptop. 

In any case your CRON should only run that job once a day around midnight. My 
guess is when you start your system in the AM the job runs because the system 
wasn't up earlier?
