Yes I tried this patch, too. to get suspend to disk working, but the 
problem is not, that suspend is not working, it suspends fine, but that 
my ibm machine freezes after some time after i have resumed!
Yesterday I checked for 8 hours my whole RAM, but not one error occured. 
I think it`s perhaps a bug in the IBM`s Thinkpad Bios.
