Well, I'm a newbie and still working at getting sound working on my
600E, but one thing stuck out from your post. I updated my BIOS the
other day to 36WW. You should update that! It's way too old. Oh yeah, my
machine is a 2645-4BU. I would also recommend more RAM. I'm running a
pair of 128MB chips right now, and am considering to try a pair of 256MB
chips.
