[ltp] Problem NIC IBM EtherJet, Encore (RealTek 8139) DOS

I'm haveing a problem...

I have Linux on my Thinkpad 760 XL - All runs great!
but what if something messes up? well, I'm screwed =(

So, the past 2 weeks, I have been trying to make a Backup of my Laptop... I 
chose Norton Ghost because It works across the network (and I know how to 
use it =)

I have two PCMCIA NICs
IBM EtherJet (10/100 w/ dongle)
Encore something TX (Middle card on their site)
    It uses the Realtek 8139 chipset.

In Linux they work flawlessly... In DOS, I have gotten them to be 
recognized, but when I try to connect to ghost, it fails - Meaning a driver 
is wrong somewhere...

Is this my Laptop? or is there something I can do to fix it?
