[ltp] Any new info on using PS/2 wheel mice with TPs?

I see this problem frequently with optical mice. As you noted, I can
clear the problem by specifying the ps/2 protocol. Other selections
cause the erratic behavior. In my experience, the problem is not
specific to Thinkpads; it happens on my HP Vectra VL, too, regardless of
using USB or PS/2 connectors. If it has something to do with optics,
that may explain why Frank has no problem with his trackball. In any
case, I think the problem lies in X and not the kernel, per se.

Hope someone else can shed some light on this.

Regards,
Eric
