Aha! I've been trying on-and-off to get an old memory pcmcia card
of mine to work under redhat 8.0. I get very similar messages to
Blessing when I plug the card in (see below). My research as far
as it goes is that pc card support is all quite different now, and
the old memory_cs driver isn't around anymore, and there doesn't
seem to be a replacement. Does anyone have any pointer which
might help me?
Also, on a similar subject, I have an ethernet pc card which isn't
recognized. I know which driver it needs (the RealTek one iirc),
but the list of vendor/product ids seem to be hard coded in the
driver source code(!). In the olden days, I'd have edited the ids
into /etc/pcmcia/config; anyone know what I do now? Edit the
source code? Surely not.
any pointers appreciated,
Michael
