How odd. I can confirm that the X31 can do a main battery hot-swap
while running off of the "extended life battery", the strangely-shaped
battery that plugs into the docking connector. (The X series has no
internal ultrabay, so I can't test one.) Since my understanding was
that the X31 and T40 were fundamentally the same hardware in different
boxes, I'm a bit surprised. Perhaps the ultrabay power interface is
of a different kind than the dock power interface.
