[ltp] Thinkpad/ Slackware 9.0

Has anyone gotten the Thinkpad's 770Z sound 
working without using the Sound Slaster module ?
I am close to getting the cs4232 module 
working but I'm in dire need of a working solution. 

Sound Blaster is O.K. but it's not up to 
snuff when using my DVD drive.
