[ltp] ATI radeon 7000 and color

As I was looking for a good theme for GNOME, I realized that the color 
rendering was definitely not the same between  my laptop and my desktop 
comp.
As the difference might be explain but the only difference between 
monitors but could you tell me more about this?
My laptop uses a ATI radeon 7000 (m6), a 1024*768 XGA-TFT display. My 
/etc/X11/XFconfig86-4 is configured by default using debconf utility, so 
that the monitor def is :

	Identifier 	"Generic Monitor"

	Option "DPMS"

The conf is 1024*768@24bit
