I have the P3-500 model of the x20.
Make sure you get the so-called "gatos" drivers and install them.
I've used mplayer (works great), but want to try xine and/or ogle, too.
Here's a "tip" for travel mode... I've shuffled partitions on my x20 so
that I have lots of space under /home. You can "pull" the .iso image
off of a movie dvd, and store it onto your hard-drive.
Travel without the DVD "slice"... mount the .iso using the loopfs, and
point mplayer at the mounted iso (use -dvd-device option), and... you're
watching a "dvd" without the dvd drive attached.
I've actually found the performance/quality to be better, seems to me
that the dvd drive in the bay isn't the speediest (but note, I have an
older x20).
