Out of curiousity, is there anything else other than modem use for the
mwave in the Thinkpad 600/770 series machines?

I seem to recall in some 760-series machines (760XD), the mwave was used
for sound AND modem, a fact that bugged me to no end because there were no
drivers for the version of the mwave that the 760's got.
