I almost wanted to send in that comment, too, but - tried it out on my X30
with 40G disk, and even if I explicitly deactivate DMA (and have the read
speed drop from 20MB/s to 4MB/s) hdparm -i and hdparm -I both report the dma
line as above, which I definitly would interpret as "running UDMA5"
