My T40p is exhibiting the same behavior. The sound will stop, but a movie=

played on an external monitor will still continue playing.
I never gave this too much attention as when I show a movie on an external=

monitor I will have the thinkpad on AC anyway, so battery life isn't an=20
issue. However, I can see how this could be a problem in some circunstances=
=20
(forgetting to bring the AC adapter to a presetation comes to mind).
