Which distribution are you using?  I tried -mm1 and it doesn't boot. 
The kernel seems fine, but PAM seems to crash, then it hangs mounting
swap.  I'm using RH9.

Anyone have clues?

BTW, I'm about to try -test8, I'll let y'all know how it works...
