I'm too lazy to check .. what resolution does the panel do on a tp40? My
majestic old 770X does 1280x1024 which is why I still use it ...

My father has a Dell Inspiron 8200 with a 15" screen and a native res of
1600x1200 in 32 bit which is absolutely lush. 

It seems rare to find a modern laptop that does greater than 1024x768 in
the sub 1000 notes category. :)
