Dear Andy,
That sounds more than a little odd! I'm afraid I don't know what is
causing that. So, is it actually a kernel thing? i.e. if you boot into
something like kernel 2.4.22 with the exact same XF86Config-4 file, does
it work properly? If so, it must be a kernel bug - or maybe the device
driver is different. Another thought - are you running the gpm mouse
daemon? I'm not - but it could conceivably make a difference.
(Incidentally, are you using tp4d - that lets you change trackpoint
settings - it's very nice, but probably not relevant here)
