The easest and best solution to this issue is to purchase a pcia full modem 
for your laptop. That is what I did for the A30p I have.

You may get one at Fry's, CompUSA, Best Buy et. for about $50.

PS After using a Winmodem you will be glad you did. You will half your up/down 
load time.
