Hello Every one.
I am using a G40 (2.4 P4, 256MB, 40GB, XP and Fedora core 1)
I am not yet able to switch to 2.6.x series, but I need to get my
machine fully functional with 2.4.x series.
The core problem is with FAN and Battery right now, no fan functioning
at all and I feel a buggy battery functionality.
Below is mentioned versions of kernel I've tried with:
2.4.22-1.2115.nptl (stock kernel fedora core 1)
2.4.22-1.2174.nptl (stock kernel update fedora core 1)
2.4.24 with acpi patch acpi-20031203-2.4.24.diff
But there is no luck so far. The error is that ECDT is found but not
loaded. I refer -ed to few other pages mentioned below:

I have updated my BIOS from ver. 1TET90ww (1.07) rel. 12/15/2003 to the
latest available in IBM driver matrix.
The problem is critical. Please provide any possible help.
Warm Regards,
