I use an IBM Thinkpad R40 2722B3G, I can confirm the working S3, it is
working for me, together with 2.6.7 and acpi-20040715 for 2.6.7 and it
is working as you said for 2.6.8.1 acpi-20040715, I dont loose e100,
ehci_hcd, uhci_hcd are also working fine (but I keep unloading them
before suspend).

There is just one last problem:
S3 still consumes very much power, i think this is an IBM Bios bug or
sth. else....

Together with ibm_acpi modul, I can use all features for the first time!
