I think that the key to this is that I don't get either led to light...

With the MN-520 both leds come on early in the boot process.
I just put the MN-520 back in because I needed to update some files.
It came right up, no need to change anything.
Do you suppose that there may be something left by the MN-520 somewhere
in the system
that is stopping the WG511 from coming up?
