Hi Alex,
I wonder how you managed to get ACPI buttons working. I'm using 2.6.2
right now (Which should include the patches from rc3-mm1 shouldn't it?)
and neither the lid closing trigger nor the suspend to RAM button is
working. I can see absolutely improvements from further kernels.
Apart from that all the other features like frequence control
(Speedstepping even)/AC triggering and temperature control happen to
work with ACPI as they did before. There is still nothing that indicates
that the fan can be user-space controlled.
Notice: All the features mentioned above including the ones not working
with ACPI are working with APM (Lid etc.).
