Hello,
I have a little problem on my IBM T22 with sound. However, I don't seem
to be able to solve it on my own. I really don't know where the problem
is. Perhaps can someone guide me and tell me how:
1/ I can solve the problem
2/ how I can understand what is wrong
Here are some info on my system:
$ cat /dev/sndstat
cat: /dev/sndstat: No such device
and /sbin/lsmod
contains
> cs46xx 63056 2 (autoclean)
> ac97_codec 16744 0 (autoclean) [cs46xx]
> soundcore 6468 3 (autoclean) [cs46xx]
uname -a
> Linux localhost 2.4.22-1.2166.nptl #1 Fri Jan 30 13:48:31 EST 2004
> i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
I have a sound card from cirrus logic:
Cirrus Logic CS 4614/22/24
I get this problem.
> modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-3
rpm -qa|grep alas
> alsa-lib-1.0.0-0.fdr.0.4.rc2.1
and last but not least: my modules.conf:
> alias eth0 e100
> alias usb-controller usb-uhci
> alias sound-slot-0 cs46xx
> post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L
> >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
> pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S
> >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
