I do not know about a T40; I have a A30P and I had a Win modem as original
installed equipment.
Not only that but when I acquired the A30P it was of such recient ventage that
there was NO win-modem driver available.
My solution was to buy and install an a PCIA full modem for $30.00 or $40.00.
I forget which. Such modems are available brom Best Buy, CompUSA, Frys et.
