 |Does anyone have SVIDEO out working on a thinkpad T41p?

 |I plugged in svideo, rebooted my machine and at the console (before X
 |started) it wouldn't do anything when I pressed FN+F7. If I pressed
 |FN+F7 while grub was still displayed my laptop screen would go black but
 |nothing appeared on the TV.
 |
 |Am I missing a driver or something? Does svideo only work when X is started?
 |
 |If so, could someone send me their X configuration?
