Hi,

I also heard it's possible to use the special Thinkpad Hibernate
Partition (partition type A0) and am considering doing that, but it
seems like hardly anyone ever does. The hibernate file on a fat
partition method seems to be much more popular and hence more explored.

To be on the safe side for future RAM upgrades I'd suggest a 320 MB
partition (as i understand the 600E can usually carry about 288MB max).

In case you have one of the more rarely that have a 512 MB max you might
want to make it 544 MB large.

With both you should be on the safe side, if your harddrive is large
enough.

Considering that the TP600e has 2MB Video RAM You should however be fine
with something around 224 MB.

(I calculated 32 MB for video ram and safety.)
