[ltp] CPU temp and fan status/control

Hi everyone.


Is there a way, I can read the CPU temperature (and probably the one of
the GPU, too) of my T40p *without* having to switch to ACPI?

And the same question for the fan status, can this be read (or even
controlled) via some kind of utility, when "only" using APM?


The lmsensors-project still says, one should avoid to install it on
thinkpads. Any other options?
