Unfortunately, it seems they did :( I had to use the linuxant HSF
drivers. I used the free version (limited to 14.4 kbps), and was able to
use the modem. The solution seems to be to buy the full version of
their drivers.

Yes, I recompiled 2.6.7 vanilla, and it went OK. It is my first
Slackware, and I am pretty happy with it from now :) I would
definitely recommend to give it a try.
I will try to make a web page somewhere soon on my installation.
