it doesn't seem to be effective ...
anyway, thanks everybody for the hints ..
(i guess centrino_speedstep can work without acpi if i don't compile acpi i=
n=20
instead of just booting with noacpi)
i'll wait a little while (and use an external mouse and shutdown instead of=
=20
suspend), hopefully more people will get a R51, and linux support will=20
mature ...
