Possibly due to dependencies.

Enter in the command line and login as root with 'su -'

Then type

rpm -ihv /directory-route-to-cd/rpm-name.rpm

rpm command shows the error dependencies else the program is intalled :)

(type exit to leave root)

Instead of your CD, is best to include one of those complete FTP
mirrors in the sources section:

http://www.suse.com/us/private/download/ftp/int_mirrors.html

When you incude the server, YaST dowload the program list available in
the server.

With one ftp or http server in the sources, you don't need more CDs
because from now YaST make network installations.

Another method is apt. The advantatge is that apt system downloads
the requested program and all programs required (dependencies).

'su -'
'rpm -ihv'
and
'exit'
is a snap ;) and show more information (dependencies in this case).
