Thanks for the advice, Jon, Michelle, and Bjorn.

I called IBM and figured out that the laptop is under warranty until
1/2005 (phew!).  Since the problem doesn't happen very frequently, I'm
going to wait and hope it either goes away or gets more consistent (so
they don't just ship it back and say nothing is wrong).

Bjorn, how long was it from the first occurrence until your T23 was
consistently red?  Did you have a 1400x1050 LCD by any chance?
