you can try the binary I made here, YMMV (you may need a newer XFree86
binary if you are running 4.3.0):

this XFree86 binary should be new enough:
http://www.botchco.com/alex/radeon/mergedfb/cvs/DRI/final/XFree86
backup your old ones first!!!!
