=09It's been a while since I tried this, so I hooked it up again
today. I'm using SuSE 9.1 and the radeon driver included in XFree86, and
I'm not getting any of the pixel problems. Perhaps then it is a driver
issue (I'm sure when I last tried I was using Red Hat 9 or so). This is
on a T40p -- The T30 still has Red Hat 9 on it and still has the problem,=
=20
so it's not strictly OS-related.
=09I also tried booting to Windows, using a pretty recent ATI driver
from IBM. It showed the max resolution of the panel as 1600x1200, but
wouldn't drive it higher than 1280x1024. If I fussed I could get it to
let me set the resolution to 1600x1200, but then it panned. I haven't
tried a driver directly from ATI to see whether it works at all at
1600x1200.
