I have SuSE 9.1 Pro on my Thinkpad X31 and it's doing fine with ACPI.
The only thing to know is that currently all AGP modules are not capable
of resuming. For my machine, I had to disable intel-agp and therefore, I
don't have accelerated graphics (but thats fine for me...). Everything
else is straightforward.
