[ltp] Is the DVD-ROM drive in the ThinkPad R50 hot-plugable?

Hi all.
I am wondering whether it is possible to remove and re-insert the DVD-ROM 
drive that comes with the ThinkPad R50 under Linux, like what is possible 
in windows.
