Try some of the links at http://www.linux-thinkpad.org/links.html.  Seems to need

modprobe cs4232 io=0x530 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0 mpuio=0x330 mpuirq=5
modprobe opl3 io=0x388

You might also need the mwave software if your Z has a modem
