[ltp] So what _is_ advantage of 2.6 kernel on a Thinkpad?

Do you have the preemptive kernel patches installed? If not, it may be
worth applying them to your 2.4 kernel.
The 2.6 kernel also supports Debian's gpm better on my 600X. I also find
that it is somewhat faster. Plus the ACL stuff is nice, although that
isn't TP specific.
