Hi,
I've been trying unsuccessfully get the wireless LAN working on my T40. I've
got an Aironet 350. I got as far as getting the ACU to gain a signal from
the Access Points and Leap authenticate me as well but but can't get it to
give me an IP. When I try to bring the interface up it says it cannot find
my driver information before failing to get an IP.
To get this far I had to downgrade my firmware to 5.00.03 from 5.40.10. This
then had repurcussions in when I was booting into xp. When using LEAP it
authenticates me but fails to give me an IP where with the previous firmware
it gave me an IP. I've now reverted back to firmware V5.40.10 and am back to
square 1 in trying to get the wireless working. If it helps I will need to
use LEAP to connect to the WLAN at work. I'm really on the verge of giving
up, please help.
I'm running a dual boot (Fedora Core1 and XP)
I have an inbuilt Cisco Aironet 350 PCI card
I've installed the drivers from the Cisco website for this card.
Please help!!!!
If you need any more information please ask.
Thanks in advance,
Siraj
