Hello all,
since january i am a proud T41 user. Before this it was a 390E.
Actually i am running Debian unstable. Kernel 2.6.4.
It seems that speedstep is in some way broken. After starting and
logging in:
cat /proc/cpuinfo|grep "^cpu MHz"
cpu MHz : 1395.780
Then cd to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq
idm-06 # ll

then echo powersave > scaling_governor

powersave

cat /proc/cpuinfo|grep "^cpu MHz"
cpu MHz : 1395.780
The fan is blowing permanently. A few weeks ago i can remember that the
cpu frequency was halved, roundabout 598 ~
Installed and running is: cpufreqd, acpid.
Any hints or ideas?
Best regards,
Micha Holzmann

My software never has bugs. It just develops random features.
