What you need is this:

It is a tray for notebook harddrives to put in the UltraslimBay.

You completely poweroff the notebook, pull out your CDROM drive and pop this
in.  At boot, you will have /dev/hdc as the second harddrive.

Outside of that, you would need to use either a PCMCIA HD case or a USB HD
case or PCMCIA to USB 2.0 and a USB 2.0 HD case.
