Just applied this patch to the latest SuSE Kernel (2.6.4-54.5) and it
really works! I can wake up my R40 2722 after suspend to ram!
But there are still problems:
1. after resuming, the upper part of the UltraNav device (the trackpoint
and the three mouse bottons over the toucpad) do not function any more
(the touchpad and the lower mouse buttons still work). Any ideas on how
to fix this? Is there a kernel module I have to reload?
2. ndiswrapper is still causing problems, though I unloaded it before
suspend. But after reloading, it makes the system behave very strange:
there seems to be a high processor load, and when I try to type some
characters do not appear at all, others appear after after a pause, and
the next character gets repeated many times. I need to unload and reload
ndiswrapper a second time (if I ever get the command typed in, had to
try it many times because of this silly behaviour), then it works fine.
