When ever I leave my T40 running 2.6.5-gentoo (apm) for an extended period of time (hour, perhaps two) it locks up hard. I thought that it may be related to xscreensaver so I stopped that. Even at the gnome desktop it locked up. The bios doesn't have any settings to suspend/hibernate at any time. Also, if it is suspended for some time and resumed it still freezes. Any ideas?
