>From experience, the Windows tool will write out a DOS-based floppy disk
that you boot from and that updates the BIOS. So, finding a Win32
machine and build the floppy disk, even if it's not the thinkpad, should
work.
Then you could post an image of the floppy on the Internet so that
others don't have to dig out Win32 if you wanted. ;)
