First, questions.
Q1. What kernel version are you using (2.4.x | 2.6.y).

Q2. Do you know what resources the sound card is configured to use (port , cport ...) ?

Q3. Do you know if the sound card is enabled or not ?

Q4. By doesn't work what do you mean ?
	Modules fail to load , everything loads but no sound ... ?
	Error/warnign messages would be helpful.

	Given the afore mentioned modules.conf what messages are generated when you 'modprobe
	snd-card-0' manually.

Q2&3 may need ps2.exe or equivalent to determine.
