It's the same here. But, as I wrote, I don't use the fglrx driver. First I=
=20
did, but finally all these dependency problems pissed me off so I returned =
to=20
the radeon driver of the XFree project.

Do you think it makes any difference wether ac is connected or not? Eg thin=
gs=20
like "if I'm connected, I switch the fan on in any case"?

Thanks for the interesting link. Now it seems, that these C-states shouldn'=
t=20
have much to do with the problem...

Well then, if you get close to the air slots, you should hear the fan if it=
's=20
running :-)

That's a thing I could try. I knew it was good to leave windows in a corner=
 of=20
my system...

Btw, how long is your uptime when running on battery? I reach about 2h30min=
,=20
roughly half an hour less then they promised... I obtained this value with=
=20
tunable settings, of course [lowest display brightness, wlan driver unloade=
d,=20
cpu running on 1500Mhz, no throttling, no DynamicClocks], but do you think=
=20
this gains an extra 30 mins?

Cheers,
