[ltp] Power drain with ACPI

I'm using BIOS 3.12 in my T40, which is the latest one from IBM.  I'm 
going to try going back to an earlier BIOS to see if that fixes it, 
since I didn't have this problem before.  Either something changed in 
software or the BIOS.  The BIOS is easy enough to test.
