[ltp] Simultaneous display on LCD and External monitor with ThinkPad R50?

On my R31, I can use FN F7 to switch display modes.  However, I can't 
switch after Linux is started.  So, if I want to use both displays, I 
have to enable it, during the intitial boot up, before Linux starts.
