Mine has no bad pixels. It has been a long time since a new thinkpad
I've seen (about 15 machines in two or three years) has had a bad pixel.

There are clear differences. I use very small type, tend to get as
close as my trifocals will allow, and think the extra information on
the screen is useful as well as pretty.
