If you're booting up and want to add it temporarily, you can hit "a" and
type acpi_sleep=s3_bios on the end of the line that shows up.
Or, you can edit grub.conf (probably in ./boot/grub/grub.conf) like this:

title Fedora Core (2.6.9-1.681_FC3) root (hd0,1)        
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.681_FC3 ro root=LABEL=/1 acpi_sleep=s3_bios       

initrd /initrd-2.6.9-1.681_FC3.img
