Mine works well with the driver from http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/ .
Haven't got suspend-to-{RAM,disk} to work yet, so no news on that front.
Just got it to work, sort of. The version of the ipw2100 driver from
SuSE on 9.1 needs an older version of the Firmware.
Now, how do I get it to play nice with the dhcp server when its
running wireless? It gets an ip address, but no dns info. The ipw2100
is eth1 and the wired ethernet is eth0.
