Personally, I would go with the Intel wireless unless you need the "a"
in an a/b/g radio.

Works apparently well. Upgrade to newest kernel (2.6.9). Cisco seems to
make firmware updates that sometimes break the driver, thanks a
lot. On the other hand side, they also publish a linux driver so sooner or
later updates are getting into the mainstream kernel.

Actively developped, and working quite solid for me (ipw2100-0.56 on T41).
Very open development of a few intel people, including public
mailinglists. They also have firmware fixes for bugs that were not
triggered by the windows driver. Not yet in the mainstream kernel, but
probably soon.

> 3) IBM

Actually, Atheros. Madwifi driver works, but has at least some
binary-only parts. Will never make it into the official kernel, and future
support is unknown.
